VISION
"Vision" defined: Having vision is having a purpose. Vision creates a focal point which creates a driving force in people. When individuals have purpose, they work incredibly hard because they want to accomplish something that's worthwhile to them. Result: Only when vision exists can missions expect to move ahead. Leadership uses vision to create excitement and hard work by allowing individuals in the mission to create their own organization...to have a hand in controlling what goes on around them to achieve a clear, worthwhile purpose for themselves and, in turn, for the mission. The leader's job is to work with missionaries to help them understand and work toward their personal vision of greatness through the mission's growth." Adapted from an excerpt from a book entitled Championship Management, by James A. Belohlav.
I have changed some words. I think it is food for thought, but would caution you to make sure that what this man says, while food for thought, may not be 'right on' with what the Spirit or your Mission President teaches. The only part I suspect may be 'creating their own organization.' Anyway, I had been looking for something that explained a way to look at VISION and this just popped up in the mail at work one day!
