F.O.R.M.
As you agree to work with us, you become a member of the great army of finders at ZionsArmy.com. It will be through your efforts that many people will be found and invited to learn more about our Church from the missionaries.
Every day you are surrounded by Not Yet Members of the Church. If you will open your eyes, be aware of other people, and use the methods we teach you, your success is assured.
To help you, we suggest you use F. O. R. M. as a means to get by the fear of inviting. Memorize the steps:
Family – ask a question about their family, such as, “How many in your family?”
Occupation: Ask questions to find out where they or their parents work.
Recreation: What do they do when they aren’t at their job?
By the time you have had a short discussion about these three things, you will know enough about them to finish with the –
Message: This is a “will you” question. “Will you and your family come to a picnic our church is having this Wednesday evening?” This is the only part that takes some forethought. You have to be aware of what is coming up in your Ward or Stake. Listen for announcements in Sacrament meeting each week, and make a note of what events are coming up you can use as you invite.
F.O.R.M. fits into the Prepare part of the Commitment Pattern. You are attempting to build a relationship of trust so they will feel comfortable saying yes to your invitation.
Following is a list of Memory Joggers. Use it to make a list of those people you want to invite.
If you have any questions, go to the Message Board where you may be able to find the answers, or list your questions for others to respond to.
May you be blessed in your efforts to help in this part of the work of the Lord.
